The IARC Handbooks evaluate the strength of the evidence supporting different interventions and strategies that aim to reduce the cancer burden in a population. Handbooks evaluations help national health agencies and policy-makers to choose the actions most suited to tackling the cancer burden they face in their regions, in order to implement strategies for cancer prevention.
