IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships and IARC Mid-Career Visiting Scientist Award – Call for applications now open

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is pleased to announce that the call for applications is now open for IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships and for an IARC Mid-Career Visiting Scientist Award.

The call for applications for IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships in 2023–2025 is open for early-career scientists from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This call is for IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships in any fitting area of cancer research, as well as for two specific Fellowships for cancer research in children, teenagers, and young adults.

For IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships in Cancer Research: candidates are invited to prepare their research proposal in line with the priorities of the Agency, as defined in IARC’s current medium-term strategy.

For IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships focusing on cancers in children, teenagers, and young adults (0–24 years), supported by Children with Cancer UK: candidates are invited to prepare their research proposal focusing on paediatric cancers or cancers in teenagers and young adults (up to age 24 years) and in line with the priorities of the Agency, as defined in IARC’s current medium-term strategy.

In addition, the Agency is offering the exciting new opportunity of an IARC Mid-Career Visiting Scientist Award. This Award is for a qualified and experienced mid-career investigator from a low- and middle-income country (LMIC) (i.e. who lives and works there) who wishes to come to IARC and drive a collaborative project in a research area related to the Agency’s programmes and current medium-term strategy for a period of 6–12 months.

For IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships and the IARC Mid-Career Visiting Scientist Award, the deadline for submission of applications is 10 December 2022 (midnight CET).
