Children with Cancer UK extends its crucial support to IARC through postdoctoral fellowships focusing on childhood cancer

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is pleased to announce that an agreement with Children with Cancer UK has been signed and will support two additional IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships focusing on cancers in children, teenagers, and young adults.

As part of the call for applications for IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships in 2023–2025, early-career scientists from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are invited to prepare their research proposal focusing on paediatric cancers or cancers in teenagers and young adults (up to age 24 years) and in line with the priorities of the Agency, as defined in IARC’s current medium-term strategy.

The training of early-career scientists plays an important role in strengthening the capacity of countries in the fight against cancer. Financial support from donors such as Children with Cancer UK is vital to increase the number of postdoctoral scientists who can benefit from the IARC Fellowship Programme, and ultimately to boost the impact on research capacity in countries worldwide.

The deadline for submission of applications is 10 December 2022 (midnight CET).
