Volume 16: Absence of Excess Body Fatness of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Handbooks of Cancer Prevention series is now available online. The volume contains the detailed assessments of the cancer-preventive effects of the absence of excess body fatness. This evaluation took place at IARC in April 2016, and a Working Group of independent international experts concluded that overweight/obesity is a risk factor for more cancer sites than previously established, based on a systematic review of the published scientific literature.
