Launch of CO-CHER website
The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is pleased to announce the launch of the website of the Cooperation on Chernobyl Health Research (CO-CHER) project. Previously, IARC led the Agenda for Research on Chernobyl Health (ARCH) project, which reviewed the current knowledge about the health effects of the Chernobyl accident, identified further research needs, and created the strategic research agenda. The CO-CHER initiative builds on this foundation to establish an international collaboration to facilitate long-term research on the health effects of the accident. CO-CHER has the potential to develop a sustainable plan for research into the health effects of the accident, with optimal use of available resources.
