IARC scientist receives 2016 Burkitt Medal

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is pleased to announce that Dr Paul Brennan, Head of IARC’s Section of Genetics, was today awarded the 2016 Burkitt Medal at the 2016 International Cancer Conference, held at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Dr Brennan, who specializes in genetic epidemiology of lung cancer, head and neck cancers, kidney cancer, and lymphomas, presented the Burkitt Lecture, on “Cancer Prevention: from Denis Burkitt to the Human Genome Project”.
