IARC Scientific Council meets via web conference

The Fifty-Eighth Session of the Scientific Council of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is taking place on 9–11 February 2022. This session of the Scientific Council is being held remotely via web conference, due to travel restrictions put in place to counter the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fifty-Seventh Session, on 10–12 February 2021, was also held remotely.

The Scientific Council will review key areas of IARC’s research programme.

This session of the Scientific Council is chaired by Dr Janne Pitkäniemi of Finland.
