IARC marks the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

To mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is showcasing a selection of recent videos that highlight the work of some of the female IARC scientists doing research on cancer prevention.

The videos explore topics such as improving cancer screening, identifying cancer risk factors, and investigating mechanisms in cancer development.

To achieve full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, and to further achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, in 2015 the United Nations General Assembly declared 11 February as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
