IARC at the World Cancer Congress

At the World Cancer Congress (WCC), being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 1–4 October, scientists from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) are making a series of expert presentations on some of the most important areas in cancer prevention. IARC Director Dr Christopher Wild will speak at a plenary session on Tuesday to review the recently published GLOBOCAN 2018 estimates of cancer incidence and mortality. IARC has also organized symposia on nutrition habits, cancer genomics, cancer prevention policy, and harnessing data for cancer action, as well as a session on the development of an IARC Regional Hub for Cancer Registration for the Pacific Islands, in conjunction with Cancer Council Australia.
