IARC and National Cancer Center Japan host CanScreen5 Asia–Pacific Training 2025

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), in collaboration with the National Cancer Center Japan, hosted the Cancer Screening in Five Continents (CanScreen5) Asia–Pacific Training 2025 in Tokyo, Japan, on 14–17 October 2025.

The event brought together 21 programme managers and health-care professionals from countries in the Asia–Pacific Region: Brunei Darussalam, Fiji, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Palau, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Viet Nam. They engaged in a collaborative effort to enhance their skills in cancer screening, evaluation, and quality improvement through the use of high-quality data.

Now available are testimonial videos, in which the participants share their experiences. Watch the videos capturing insights, reflections, and key takeaways from the training.

This initiative is part of the CanScreen5 mission to empower health-care leaders and improve cancer screening worldwide. This course was made possible with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for South-East Asia and the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific.
