The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Summer School 2023 is starting the second part of its programme today at the new IARC headquarters building in Lyon. As part of the “Introduction to Cancer Epidemiology” module, this week 36 participants from 26 countries will attend daily sessions and participate in intensive group work activities, enabling epidemiologists, statisticians, physicians, oncologists, and other public health specialists to learn and benefit from IARC’s expertise. The live sessions of the “Implementing Cancer Prevention and Early Detection” module will take place next week (26–30 June).
The IARC Summer School 2023 Public Events Series continues with a state-of-the-art-lecture on “Social inequalities and cancer” at 1:00 pm CEST on 19 June. Six more exciting sessions are coming up until the end of June.
