The King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, recently presented Dr Samar Alhomoud with the King Abdulaziz Medal of the First Class, an honour bestowed on prominent Saudi figures who have made outstanding contributions to their fields.
Dr Alhomoud was in Lyon on 7 February 2019 to chair a meeting of the IARC Ethics Committee.
