IARC welcomes UICC as a partner for the IARC@60: Cancer Research into Action conference

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) welcomes the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) as an official partner for the IARC@60: Cancer Research into Action conference, the crowning event of the IARC 60th anniversary celebrations. This collaboration between IARC and UICC, two of the world’s leading institutions in cancer prevention and policy, promises to deliver an event rich in expertise and insights into the most pressing topics in implementation research.

UICC will contribute to the plenary on Turning Science into Action with an address by UICC President Ulrika Årehed Kågström.

The IARC@60: Cancer Research into Action conference will take place on 19–21 May 2026 in Lyon, France. The three main scientific themes are (1) Discovery and innovation for cancer prevention, (2) Translating research into public health action, and (3) Science–policy interface for global change. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 12 January 2026. More information is available on the dedicated conference website.
