Cancer Research UK announces Grand Challenge funding call
Cancer Research UK has launched the Grand Challenge cancer grants scheme, with an overall investment of £100 million to accelerate progress in some of the most important unanswered questions in cancer research. The charity invites applications from interdisciplinary teams for ways of solving one of seven challenges; teams will be awarded up to £20 million each. IARC Director Dr Christopher Wild serves as an expert on the international Grand Challenge Advisory Panel, which identified the seven challenges and will assess all applications and pick the final winner(s).
