Launch of online learning course on Using the IARC Atlas of Breast Cancer Early Detection

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is pleased to announce the launch of a new online learning course, titled Using the IARC Atlas of Breast Cancer Early Detection. The new course, developed with the support of and in collaboration with the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), is available on the World Health Organization (WHO) Academy online learning platform.

Are you a primary health-care professional, a community worker, a radiology or pathology professional, or a trainer on breast cancer early detection?

This new flexible and interactive short course is for you. It provides an overview of key sections from the Atlas and provides concrete examples of how you may use the Atlas in your daily practice.

The IARC Atlas of Breast Cancer Early Detection is a unique step-by-step guide to support health-care professionals involved in the evaluation of breast abnormalities. It is an extremely rich learning and training resource, including descriptions of procedures, video tutorials, quizzes, illustrated case studies, and reporting templates.

The IARC-ESMO Learning and Capacity-Building Initiative for Cancer Prevention aims to raise awareness about emerging issues in cancer research for cancer prevention and to invite researchers and professionals to learn about these topics from different perspectives.
