IARC scientist receives Young Talent Award France 2022 For Women in Science

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is pleased to announce that Dr Mathilde His, a Postdoctoral Scientist in the Nutrition and Metabolism Branch of IARC, has received a Young Talent Award France 2022 For Women in Science (Prix Jeunes Talents France 2022 Pour les Femmes et la Science) from the L’Oréal Foundation, in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Dr His was awarded a prize in the Neurosciences, Epidemiology, and Infectious Diseases (Neurosciences, épidémiologie et maladies infectieuses) research area for her research to better understand the causes of breast cancer by studying the metabolome.

Dr His is among 35 outstanding young researchers across six research areas selected to receive the award. The awardees will meet with high school students on 12 October at the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers, in Paris, France, to promote scientific subjects and careers, followed by an awards ceremony at which the researchers will receive their prizes. The For Women in Science programme aims to support female scientists across the world and to empower women in science.
